If you love the look of cables and laces together, but thought that they looked too complicated to try, this might be the pattern you’ve been looking for. The cable is a “smallish” three stitch cable, that is combined with a very pretty, but not excessively complicated lace stitch. It’s the perfect “1st cable lace socks” pattern as a result of the above, and one that you’ll be proud to wear, with no one suspecting that it’s your first “cable lace pattern.”

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a good working knowledge of knitting, purling, cabling and yarn over’s).

The pattern is designed to be knit top down on two circular needle, in sizes small, medium and large. The pattern is both charted and written out line by line.

The sample shown here is made using Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock yarn in Fjord, and was expertly pattern tested by Sandra Amerine, who can be reached at: amerine.sandra@ yahoo.com, and is known on Ravelry as (the) CraftHag.
