My grandmother, aka ‘Baba’ of Macedonian descent, would make these slippers by the hundreds…maybe thousands?! After wearing out yet another pair, I knew it was time to redesign these simple beauties before they are lost. The original design was more of a slip-on traditional slipper pattern. I have redesigned the slipper to be more of a “bootie” or “vamp” style slipper. Her original colour work design is the same. She was the best person I knew. My mentor of all things in knitting, crochet, cooking, baking and all other things good, I miss her very much. She would be so happy to know that others were knitting her design. Please enjoy.

Notes: This pattern is written for ‘Magic Loop’ and knitting in the round with double pointed needles method. The pattern indicates adjustments for either ‘Magic Loop’ or DPN.
