Gauge is very important to making this hat fit this specific size. If you choose to substitute a yarn other than the Anne Geddes Baby Yarn you will need to reach the gauge for both row height and stitches per inch. If you don’t the hat will be too big.

My Handsome Prince Newborn Baby Hat has been designed using Red Heart Anne Geddes Baby Yarn. This yarn is lovely to crochet with and the finished baby hat is soft and very lightweight. Perfect for newborn babies! Whether as a gift or as an item you want to donate to a local hospital or charity.

Gauge: 12 sts (worked in pattern rounds between 10-17) = 3″; 12 rounds = 3″

This hat has also been upsized ;) to a women’s version in both the Anne Geddes Baby Yarn and in a Cotton Yarn. For this pattern please see Hope, or Hope in Cotton
