I love the look and fit of this heel, which is usually worked from the top down. As I love knitting my socks toe-up, I have done several attempts to adapt this heel.

To make this pattern more educational and creative, I have added charts for nearly everything to let your creativity run wild and knit your very own socks with your very own design.
You can draw your very own sock motif in those charts and then start knitting your socks.
Whether you decide to knit the toe in stockinette stitch, in a contrasting colour, or using a motif, and then design a fair isle pattern on the instep and the front of leg and the back of leg, or knit everything with the same fingering weight yarn with a lace pattern or a cable pattern on the instep and on the leg, it’s your decision!

Of course, you can knit plain vanilla socks using this pattern.

These instructions are written for an easy-to-knit basic sock with 60 sts and 68 sts. To make the instructions easier to read, each pattern is for one size.

I thank my tester Patricia, who has done a very lovely pair of socks.
