my Vintage Tee
I love collecting old knitting magazines, and oh… what an inspiration! This sparked the idea to knit a modern version of a vintage T- shirt, and voilà! Wear the Vintage Tee for everyday wear, smart casual, or sporty. This vintage sweater has it all and is versatile! The T-shirt features a V-neck and short sleeves that are integrated into the design. Thanks to the V motif of knit and purl stitches, the T-shirt is quite stretchy. This gives it a fitted shape, but you can also choose to knit a size up. The model in the photo is wearing a size 4/L

How to choose your size
My Vintage Tee is designed to fit closely. Choose a size that is slightly smaller than your own chest circumference. E.g.: The model in the photo has a chest circumference of 109 cm. Subtract 5 cm from this and compare it to the chest circumference in cm = 104 cm. Now choose the corresponding size. If you wish, you can always knit a size larger. In that case, do not subtract 5 cm from your chest circumference, and choose the closest size for you.

Instructions
This T-shirt is knitted from bottom to top. First, the ribbing is knitted in the round using a rib pattern. Next, the body is knitted in the round. At armhole depth, the work is divided and the front and back are worked seperately. For the sleeves, a few extra stitches are cast on at each side of the panel. After a short section of knitting, the V-neck is knitted into the front panel. This follows the V pattern in the T-shirt. When both panels are finished, the shoulder seams and side seams are sewn together. Finally, a cuff is knitted onto the sleeves, and the collar is worked with an I-Cord finish.
The T-shirt has a close fit and the finished model is quite stretchy due to the staggered knit and purl pattern.
Techniques used: knit, purl, twisted knit, twisted purl, increasing, decreasing, I-cord
