Mystery knit-along for the Yahoo Icelandic Shawl group, began October 3, 2008. The 16 page pattern is now available for purchase.

This shawl has been specially designed with hand-dyed or hand-painted yarns in mind. It requires approximately 1980 yards (or more) of hand painted yarn and 2100 size 8 seed beads, which are incorporated into the knitting by the crochet hook (size 16) method. You will receive the pattern along with a list of URL’s to aid a beginner in making this shawl. It’s perfect for the beginner as you learn lace in a non-threatening manner while learning how to read your knitting. You will also receive a copy of one of the games we played while awaiting the first clue. ;-) FUN
