The Naava kids’ sweater is interesting yet minimalistic. The design is inspired by old Finnish forests, where moss and lichen cover the forest floor and naava, beard lichen, hangs from tree branches. Naava is a sign of pure air and the Naava sweater is made to be worn outdoors.

This design comes in only 2 sizes, because the boxy and oversized fit will allow the little one to grow and still feel comfortable in the sweater. It is meant to be a long-time-companion!

This sweater is knitted flat, bottom-up. You start by knitting the front, then the back, and finally the sleeves. There is a simple pattern on the front, and the rest is knitted in moss stitch. After all the parts are done, you sew the pieces together. The collar is added last by picking up stitches along the neckline.

ABOUT ROUHEAKNITS

I aim to make products that are practical, modern and beautiful. With ROUHEA knitted accessories I want to emphasize the meaning of well thought of wardrobe, in which you can mix and match your items in a conscious way. This is why most ROUHEAKNITS are neutral in both color and style, sometimes even minimal – I want them to really be a part of your child’s or your own everyday weardrobe.

Through ROUHEA I also want to be a part in bringing something beautiful in our lives, to disrupt the mundane. Be it a hat that just looks lovely or small item on your shelf, something to decrease the clutter and help to maintain order.

And by buying handmade, You are also supporting values such as slow fashion and conscious consumption. And of course each purchase results in a happydance by the small business owner :)
