Nagatsuki is the traditional name of the month of September in Japanese. It is the month the nights get longer.

I designed this sweater with negative ease….in the time when oversize sweaters are very popular. For me, I’m probably in the best shape going into colder months so this, at least for September, I can maybe pull it off… It is simple, light and cozy, warm with mohair. Slip it right on your skin and enjoy a long night with a book and a cup of tea kind of sweater.

  • 1 3/4” of negative ease
  • This sweater is knit pulling one strand of fingering weight yarn and one strand of lace weight yarn (mohair blend).
  • The body and sleeves are worked in the round from the bottom p to the yoke.
  • The pieces are joined for working the circular yoke.
  • There is no waist shaping. Short rows are used for neck shaping.
