Naia sockor junior are perfect as dress socks for the cold winter months. Worked on 2.5 mm needles and finished with a frilled cuff, they are especially suitable for festive occasions.

Naia means “wave” or “sea.” The name of the socks comes from the frill, which resembles little waves. Naia sockor junior are knitted from the toe up. You cast on using Judy’s Magic Cast On and work in the round, increasing to shape the toe. When the correct stitch count is reached, you continue knitting in the round until making a few increases at the sides to give more height over the foot. Next, the heel is worked using short rows. After the heel, a few decreases are made to ensure the leg fits snugly. The frill is knitted separately, from the bottom up, then placed on top of the stitches of the sock and worked together before finishing with the final edge.
