The Naked Gardener Tea Cosy was inspired by World Naked Gardening Day back in May. Naked Gardening is a pastime made popular by the nudist movement and there is even a special day in May called World Naked Gardening Day. Putting aside the dangers naked gardening might present, I thought a naked person gardening would make a wonderful summer tea cosy that would be a little bit risqué.

The naked gardener is reaching over a little bush, a hebe perhaps and she chopping off some unruly leaves with her shears. So it wasn’t full frontal nudity, I thought if she were leaning over the bush that most of her would be hidden.

The bush is knitted in a lovely lace pattern so that you can see the teapot beneath. It gives the bush a lovely texture.

In front of the bush is a watering can. It’s one of those vintage style watering cans made from a silver coloured metal.

For most people I guess naked gardening isn’t their thing, but if outrageous tea cosies that amuse and get people talking are your thing, you’ll love the naked gardener tea cosy.

The Naked Gardener tea cosy fits a medium sized tea pot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.

The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting her very soon!

This product is the knitting pattern only to make your own Naked Gardener tea cosy.
