Nala’s Big Sister is a large crescent shaped shawl. It is a larger, more grown up version of the original Nala’s Shawl which is a shawlette size with growing mesh sections. Big Sister features alternating sections of stockinette, stripes, and mesh lace. Both are inspired by Nala, my young Autistic daughter. All patterns in the Nala Series have half of all proceeds donated to Autism Research.
Finished Dimensions Blocked fairly aggressively are 103 inch wingspan and 28 inches deep.
Gauge is fairy flexible, but as I used almost all of both skeins if your gauge is looser than mine. Sample used all but a few yards of the MC and 95g of the CC. Blocked gauge on sample is 5 stitches and 8 rows per inch.
