並木 Namiki: Japanese (Romaji) for (n) row of trees, roadside tree.

If you loved Kozue, you will be ready for the challenge and elegant beauty of Namiki. This asymmetric design provides a swooping swathe of exquisitely detailed diminishing treetops: abstracted rows of birch trees in architectural perspective on a stocking stitch background. Worked with either Woolfolk Tynd or Blue Sky Alpacas Royal, this piece will elevate your everyday into a statement of confidence.

Construction Notes
Shawl is cast on lengthwise and knit flat back and forth in St st and then into the feature Diminishing Treetops Pattern. A second Diminishing Treetops Pattern is worked between Short Row Sequences to enhance the swooped shape of the design.
Worked with one strand of yarn throughout.
Slip markers as they are encountered.
