Flecks of golden light filtering through the leaves, the graceful swaying of branches in the wind—this is Nan-tathren, the land of willows. Now sunk beneath the waves of Belegaer, The Great Sea, it was once a place of beauty and light. The Nan-tathren shawl brings these images to life again in the graceful lines and soft textures of its mesmerizing stitches.

This pattern was designed in collaboration with Connie Lee Lynch from CrochetEtcetera, who has designed a stunning crochet sister shawl in the same yarn and colors. Check out her Echoes of Ironwood Shawl.

Construction Notes
The alternating panels of triple L tweed and 2x1 brioche create a fabric that is surprisingly plump for a fingering weight shawl, making this piece both lightweight and cozy. The modified kite shawl construction results in an elongated shape that can be worn over the shoulders or wrapped like a scarf.
