NOTES ON HOW I ASSEMBLED MY SAMPLE BLANKET I joined my squares with a “TIGHT JOIN” using HDC. I then went around the entire blanket using the same color I used to join the squares, with TWO ROUNDS of Moss/Linen stitch, making SC, CH 2, SC for the CORNERS. I then went around with 3 MORE ROUNDS of Moss/Linen Stitch using 3 different accent colors, again making SC, CH 2, SC for the CORNERS. Upon the LAST ROUND of Moss/Linen Stitch I worked my modified version of my RICK RACK BORDER.

My RICK RACK BORDER: (SS into CHAIN 1 SPACE. SS into SC.) 2 times. SS into next CHAIN 1 SPACE. DC into SAME CHAIN 1 SPACE. SS into SAME CHAIN 1 SPACE.* Work from from * to * all around, making 2 SS, TR, 2 SS in CORNER SPACES.

Note: Because of the stitch count, I had to fiddle with the edging along BOTH SIDES. I ended up putting 2 SS in one additional chain 1 space at the BEGINNING and at the END of the edge. The TOP & BOTTOM EDGES worked out fine.

BOTTOM PICS (GREEN): These squares have my WIDE EXTENSION BORDER added to them.
