This pattern is a beanie style hat for small children. There are embellishments that need to be sewn on, (the ears, the snout, the eyes and nose.)
This pattern includes a small amount of other yarns for the embellishments. I used black velvet chenille for the eyes and the nose, and a lighter color than the hat (negligible amount) for the snout.
The eyes and the nose were crocheted.
The eyes have a small amount of fingering weight white, just to accent the eye. I used a tiny amount of white that I had in my stash.
I c/o between 72 and 78 stitches, depending on the age of the child. These span a one year old up to a 5 year old.

When you are ready to decrease around the hat, split the stitches up as equally as you can, into 6 sections.
