I wanted to work on toe up socks so that I’m more comfortable with the quantity of yarn I have. Most patterns are for a specific yarn and gauge so I figured out how to adapt to all gauges….it’s all math! I also wanted a nice heel that was easy but fit well and had no holes. I find beginners are uncomfortable with having to pick up stitches so I like that it’s all done with making stitches and then knitting or purling 2 together. I really like thick socks but the pattern will work for fingering weight too.
