These slipper socks are super thick and cosy, called naptime slipper socks as they knit up so quickly that I am usually able to knit one during my son’s nap!

I’ve used three strands of acrylic yarn to get the gauge needed but you can experiment with what you have; 2 strands of bulky yarn or even 6 strands of DK would probably get a similar gauge, feel free to experiment! I like using 3 different colours as it creates a fun effect but make it your own!

Because it is using so many strands with relatively small needles it is a very stiff sock that is created - for wearing as slippers, not with shoes! It can be quite a tight knit because of this as well so just keep that in mind.

Most yarns will work for this pattern but I wouldn’t suggest cotton as you want something that will stretch a bit - the socks finish looking really small and can feel a bit snug when you first put them on, but with a stretchier yarn they will feel snug on your feet! If you use a yarn that doesn’t stretch it may be worth CO a few more sts than stated.

The sock is worked in the round on either double pointed needles or using the magic loop technique, up to you!
