Nara is a ragdoll style crochet pattern for intermediate crocheters written using US (American) terms. You will work the pieces in rows before crocheting together and stuffing.

The pattern includes detailed instructions in an easy to follow layout but a knowledge of basic crochet stitches and techniques used to make ragdolls is essential.

Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished items. My Nara is approximately 25cm (10 inches) long and 28cm (11 inches) wide.

You will receive one PDF file which requires software like Adobe Reader to open (this is free to download).

Please contact me immediately if you have purchased this pattern thinking it is an actual toy as I do not process refunds after the PDF file has been downloaded.

You will need:

  • 2.75mm hook/C-2 (US)
  • 8ply yarns/DK or Light Worsted > 50g yarn in PURPLE and NUDE, less than 50g in WHITE and a small amount of BLACK and PINK
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Polyester toy stuffing
  • Stitch marker (optional)

Notes:

  • A yarn with no stretch is best for making toys, I use cotton or cotton blend.
  • For this pattern, I’ve used the following yarns: o NUDE = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in 409 Light Camel o PURPLE = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in 442 Dusty Rose o PINK = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in 454 Blush Pink o WHITE = Bendigo Woollen Mills 8ply cotton in Snow o BLACK = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in 402 Pure Black
  • This pattern is worked in rows (unless otherwise stated) and you will ch 1 at the end of each row and turn before starting the next row.
