“Nardini” is the name of a Mystery Shawl Knit Along that took place in Feb 2013. The pattern is now available for download (it is a 10 page pattern).

Here are the materials needed:
Main Color = 900 yards
Contrast Color = 400 yards
US 9 double pointed needles
US 9 16” circular
US 9 40” circular
Size J crochet hook (for the cast on ONLY)
Stitch Markers

Here are the techniques used:
Emily Orcher’s Cast On Method
Knitting, Purling
A Bit of Lace (easy with purl rows in between the lace rows)
Circular and Straight Knitting
No Kitchener Stitch
Simple Increase and Decrease Technique
Short Rows

Hints:
This is based on the my design The Cosmic Teleidoscope Vest.
There will not be more than 308 sts on your needles.
There will only be 20 sts to cast off.

Options:
~Use heavier yarn for a larger shawl.
~If you use heavier yarn, say a DK then bump up your needle size to a 10 or 10.5
~The Purple and Yellow version uses sock weight yarn by Coastal Colors.
~The Gray version uses Worsted Yarn and Sock weight yarn by Schoppel-Wolle
~You could use more than two colors
~You could use a yarn that stripes (MC) and a solid yarn (CC).
~Make it as a baby blanket by using washable yarn.
