Notes: This cabled cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up. It is designed to be structural and maintain a somewhat close fit for warmth. To this end you will see a round of decreases near the top. If you want a looser fit simply omit the decrease round and continue working in pattern as set in previous rounds. As this is a simple C4F cable, I suggest that you play with not using a cable needle. The technique for this is explained in the pattern.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Materials:
• 1 skein Dexter DK (100% Superwash Merino wool; 280 yards (256 meters)/4 ounces) or another dk weight yarn. You will need between 225-260 yards (206-238 meters).
• 1 x 24” (60 cm) circular needle in US 5 (3.75 mm), or size needed to obtain gauge.
• Stitch marker
• Cable needle (optional; see Techniques
below for the no cable needle cable)
• Darning needle or crochet hook for weaving ends

Gauge: 27 sts & 33 rows in 4” (10 cm).
