Note: This pattern includes both the sport weight and fingering weight versions. The sport weight version is all garter, while the fingering weight version is garter stripes with stockinette wedges

This scarf/shawl is worked flat length-wise, in one piece, using short rows to give it an interesting shape. It’s extra long length allows you to wrap more than once for squishy comfortable coziness.

Size:
Sport Version: 70” Long x 8” at the narrow end, and 18” at the wide end
Fingering Version: 70” Long x 9” at the narrow end, and 19” at the wide end

Yarn:
Sport Version:
Approximately 500 yards Sport weight for Main Color
Approximately 300 yards Sport weight for Contrasting Color

Fingering Version:
Approximately 650 yards Fingering weight for Main Color
Approximately 350 yards Fingering weight for Contrasting Color

Needles:
Sport Version: US Size 6 (4mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Fingering Version: US Size 5 (3.75mm) or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge:
Sport Version: 17 stitches = 4” garter stitch
Fingering Version: 19 stitches = 4” garter stitch
