DESCRIPTION
This crochet pattern is for a sweet Nativity set which includes Mother Mary and Joseph dolls, a Baby Jesus doll, and a manger (bed) for baby Jesus.

The pattern uses 8ply/DK worsted weight yarn, and 2.5mm, 3.5mm & 4.5mm hooks. The pattern comes in both US and UK crochet terminology

The Mother Mary doll is about 25.5cm/10in long, and the Baby Jesus is about 8.5cm/3.5in long. Mary’s dress can be removed for easy washing, while her veil is sewn onto her head.

The pattern uses amigurumi crochet, and has some slightly more involved sections (i.e. the yoke of the tunics). However, the design is quite simple and instructional photos are provided, making it suitable for more experienced beginners.

PATTERN CONTENTS:
The detailed pattern contains:

  • detailed instructions, including instructional photos and ‘handy hints’ for extra support.
  • a stitch abbreviations chart (note, pattern does not include instructions for forming the basic stitches)
  • instructions for tension and sizing
  • two separate PDF documents – one for UK terminology, and one for US terminology (ensure you download the one you want!)

Safety Warning
This playset is not suitable for babies and children aged 36 months and under, because it contains sewn-on small parts which could cause a choking hazard should the stitching come loose and the part fall off (i.e. Baby Jesus’ face, Joseph’s beard).
Most countries/regions have product safety standards for children’s toys for each age group, so check the relevant requirements, and make adjustments accordingly.
