This lusciously warm cowl was inspired by the yarn that it’s made from. The yarn is 4 DK/Worsted 50yd minis in Michigan raised and milled wool and alpaca in natural colors from Serenity Farms. The yarn called for a design that let the lovely qualities of it really shine.
Because of the simplicity of the design, almost any yarn you have on hand could work for this piece…DK or Worsted leftovers-Amazing, a gradient skein or set-Great, a bunch of fingering minis held double-Awesome, some small skeins or leftovers of handspun-Epic. Use what you have and have fun with it.

Gauge
Gauge is really flexible. As Long as you like the fabric and its not still, go with it

Sample is knit at aprox 6.5 spi

Sizing
One size-Adjustable

As written Cowl is 18 inches around and 12 inches deep.
To add length add extra repeats, each 15 stitch repeat adds 2.3 inches to the length. Adding stitches may effect the ribbing pattern, forcing you to change to 1x1

Substituting the ribbed border for 8 rows of garter stitch would work well if desired
