Inspired by “The Weather and the Window” episode from the British sitcom, The Vicar of Dibley, where a storm in Dibley causes a tree branch to crash through one of the church windows. Worked toe up with a heel flap and gusset, these colour work socks depict how the replacement window, when unveiled, reveals a stunning view of nature.

Sizes
Small (60 sts),
Medium (72 sts),
Large (84 sts)

Yarn
Fingering weight sock yarn. For all sizes I would suggest 100g of main colour and 50g for the contrast. I used a solid for the main colour and a lovely semi-solid from an indie dyer.

Needles
2.25 mm/US1 needles for working small circumference in the round (or size required to achieve gauge).

Gauge
36 sts/40 rounds = 10 cm/4 inches measured over colour work section. Gauge is measured after washing and laying flat to dry.

The instructions for the construction of the socks are written and the colour work pattern is only charted.
