These semi-circular motifs resemble petals, scales, leaves or even shells, depending on what colour you use. Try scrunching them up on a string and see what you get!

You can use up any odd scraps of wool - the more colours the better. I used DK wool and a 4mm hook but it would be great to experiment with a whole range of yarn and hook sizes.
