The Navajo pattern is a quirky and colorful legging/leg warmer. Knit in a lightweight breathable cotton, these leggings are comfortable, soft and washable. They are perfect for keeping little babies’ legs cozy in the colder months or fashionably layering over tights or jeans for older girls.

The stranded color work chart is simple to read and follow and would be good as either a first color work project, or a quick and fun project for a more advanced knitter. This pattern uses 4 colors of Knit Pick’s Simply Cotton Sport (656 yards total), but multiple pairs of leggings can be made with those four skeins because of the minimum yardage that is needed (perfect for making matching pairs in different sizes!)
