Navigator is a large and cosy triangle shawl, knitted on the bias, using two contrasting colours of Castaway DK yarn from Pirate Purl Yarns. The shawl features an interesting mosaic stitch pattern that uses one colour per row to create a ‘rippled water’ effect.

Yarn Requirements
Pirate Purl Yarns Castaway DK (100% Merino Wool; 258 yards/236 metres per 100 grams).
Shown in MC - Already Here (Blue), 2 skeins, CC - Blue Vapor (Grey), 1 skein.
Or approximately 500 yards/457 metres MC, and 250 yards/229 metres CC.

Needles & Notions
US 9/5.5 mm circular needle, 32 inches/80 cm or longer (to accommodate the large number of stitches);
Stitch marker (optional).

Gauge
16 stitches and 30 rows per 4 inches/10 cm in garter stitch after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.
