I created this pattern for my dad who is a Navy Veteran.
When I asked him if he needed a new winter hat he said yes, as long as it says NAVY on it.
I thought maybe others might like to make this hat for their favorite NAVY Veteran.

This is a simple hat knitted in the round from the bottom up. A standard two inch brim that can be made longer if you would like to have a folded brim.

I used a budget friendly acrylic yarn so that it can be easily thrown in the washer and dryer but you can use any worsted weight yarn of your choosing.

I used about a half skein of each of the yarns. So you will have plenty to invert the colors and make a second hat.
