Needs More Blue is a lightweight large stole which uses three different colors of yarn. Its size means it can be wrapped more than once for warmth, but its light weight means it’s perfect for those don’t-quite-need-a-coat days. It’s named for my dear friend Maureen’s favorite yarn shopping phrase.

Finished Size: 21” depth, 90” wingspan

Yarn: Tempting Ewe “Ewe So Sparkly” Sock (75% Superwash merino wool/20% Nylon, 5% Sparkle), 438 yards/100 grams; sample uses 230 yards Grey Goose (Color A), 210 yards Anemone (Color B), and 210 yards Deep Blue Sea (Color C).

Needles: 40” circular needle, size 7 US (4.5mm), or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 3.5 stitches/6.5 rows per inch in wet-blocked stockinette stitch; gauge is not critical for this item but will affect yardage and drape.
