Nela is my favourite Polish name, which I associate with modesty and beauty. And that is how I see this project! Intricate tiny cables, subtle lace and a sea of twisted stitches enchanted in one sweater which, despite the abundance of patterns, does not overwhelm but highlights your beauty. This pattern was created for those who love exciting projects full of meticulously planned details. Each stitch provides a lot of satisfaction, and numerous stitch patterns pamper your artistic soul. Nela allows you to cultivate current and acquire new skills, while providing the pure pleasure of communion with beauty.

Nela is a fitted pullover with raglan sleeves, richly decorated with twisted rib stitches, plump tiny cables and lace patterns. Spongy stitches provide a well-fitted garment, which works nicely with the body. Twisted stitches on the body sides naturally highlight waist shape. The main difference between sizes is the number of rib panels on the body sides and on the underside of the sleeves. All sizes have the same chart locations on the front and back parts and on the upper side of the sleeves.

Nela is worked in one piece, top-down. It starts with double layered collar and then, after neckline shaping, the yoke is worked in rounds to the underarm. The neckline is shaped using German Short Rows for best results. Sleeves, front and back sections are divided by decorative raglan lines. The project is almost completely seamless. There is one exception – the armpit openings are closed using a seam to achieve the best visual effect and stabilization.

This pattern requires some experience with raglan sleeves, short rows and working with multiple charts.

The pattern contains detailed instructions for making a pullover in 8 sizes and two language versions – Polish and English. For your convenience, each size has its own file, with instructions only for the given size. You will not have to search for instructions on complicated charts nor print many irrelevant information! Just pick your size and knit without distractions! IMPORTANT: you get access to all files (all languages and all sizes).
