This cute nerd can be worked in any yarn weight with a correspondingly sized hook. Choose a hook that makes a tight fabric with your yarn; if there are holes between your stitches the stuffing will show through.

Requires about 75-150 yards of yarn, (more for thicker yarn, less for thinner). A small amount of white and black yarn will do for the eyes.

A long doll needle is not strictly necessary, but will be extremely helpful for making poseable legs. If desired, the legs can be sewn on normally for a sturdier toy.
