A study in balance and light, this shawl begins at a slender point and unfolds gradually, its cables flowing like braided light across a gentle diagonal. Worked flat from point to point, it grows with measured increases to the center, then recedes in mirrored decreases to close the form.
The interplay of texture and softness gives it quiet depth and a sculptural grace. Draped over the shoulders, it brings a sense of calm, structure, and understated beauty.
Finished measurements
64”/160 cm long.
10”/25 cm wide.
Measurements are taken after blocking.

Worsted weight yarn: approximately 300 yards/273 m.
Miss Babs Billow (51% Baby Alpaca, 49% Pima Cotton; 320 yards/290 m in 100 g); White Peppercorn - 1 skein.
NOTE: Shawl uses almost all the skein. You may wish to consider purchasing an additional skein due to variations in individual work.

While gauge is not critical for this project, the different gauge can affect the size and overall yardage.

• The shawl is worked flat from the narrow left point toward the center, increasing along the right edge. After the midpoint, decreases are worked along the right edge to form a symmetrical shape, ending with a narrow right point.
Difficulty: Intermediate.
