It’s fun to find new ways to combine colors and tweak traditional shawl shapes. This shawl is structured like a standard symmetrical triangle, but with a wide spine to highlight bubbles of color reminiscent of neutron stars—small, dense celestial bodies—meaning the shawl doesn’t come to a sharp point.

Despite the complicated-looking colorwork, only one color is used at a time, so there’s no complicated color management. This shawl is so visually striking, it doesn’t need a fancy border; you can knit until you run out of yarn, maximizing yardage.
