Nevada is an easy garter-stitch kimono cardigan worked as one rectangular piece and folded to create a relaxed cocoon shape. The garment is knitted flat in lengthwise rows and finished with two short side seams that form the arm openings.

The sample is worked with a DK-weight yarn held together with a lightweight fluffy strand to create a soft marled texture, but a single chunky yarn can also be used if gauge is matched. The pattern uses basic techniques only: cast-on, knit stitches, slipping the first stitch purlwise, bind-off, and seaming.

This design is suitable for beginners and makes a practical layering piece for warmer seasons (spring to early autumn). The construction is straightforward and does not require shaping or complex stitch patterns.
