Pattern description from Lace Style: “Whether you wear it up over your head or down around your neck, a wimple - especially one that’s edged in lace - makes a delicate frame for your face. In this version, Priscilla Gibson-Roberts worked a decorative edging pattern back and forth in rows and joined it into a ring for the lower border. She then picked up stitches around the straight edge of the border and worked circularly to the top in stockinette stitch, finishing off with a simple eyelet pattern bordered by a few garter ridges.”

Finished Size: About 20” (51 cm) circumference at upper edge and 13½“ (34.5 cm) total length measured at deepest point of lower edging.

Yarn: Laceweight (no CYCA equivalent).
KnitPicks Shadow (100% merino wool; 440 yd (402 m)/50 g): #23661 sunset, 2 skeins.

Needles: Size 2 (2.5 mm): 16” circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Smooth waste yarn for invisible cast-on; stitch marker (m); tapestry needle.
