An asymmetrical triangle with just enough lace to keep you entertained and a super fun shape, ended with an add on garter border.

Nevischio is an Italian word for the moment when it begins to snow, but there is still some rain with it. It’s not a storm, but just some snowflakes coming from the sky, not many, but enough to see them. Some of these snowflakes can leave marks on the ground. Some just melt.

Infinite weaves of grey garter stitch interlaced with a simple honeycomb lace stitch are in my mind the visual representation of nevischio.
This shawl is just pure fun to knit: you begin with as few as three stitches and you will proceed very fast. The interchanging between increases and decreases form a singular shape that on the blocking mats looks like a stylised seagull, but once on your shoulder it’s a cloud of softness and warmth.

Perfect to wear for first nevischio!
