This is a Crescent shape shawl either worked in one solid color or in 2 colors. If you are working with 2 colors, you want the solid color to be Color A so your beads will show up. Color B can be either a solid or mixed color to match your solid and Color B will not have beads. I have the color changes stated in pattern so you know when to change colors. Contains Charts and Written Directions.

Materials:
Needles: Size 6 (4mm), 8 (5mm) and Size 10 (6.4mm) circular needles, 32” or longer.
Beads: 380 size 6 seed beads - get more in case you lose some or some are faulty.
Size 11 or 12 steel crochet hook to add beads with
Markers optional

There are 3 options for color on this shawl
Option 1:
100 grams of fingering weight in Color A (this is the solid or semi solid where your beads are placed).
100 grams of fingering weight in Color B (this is a coordinating color of your choice that compliments your solid, it can be as wild and wacky as you want. There will not be any beads on this color.

Option 2: If you only want the short row section (the crescent at top) to be your contrasting color B
100 grams of fingering weight in Color A – solid or semi solid so beads show up
50 grams of fingering weight in Color B.

Option 3: No color change, all one color
150 grams of fingering weight in Color A – solid or semi solid so beads show up

Gauge: 4.5sts per inch. But gauge is not too important in a shawl.
Finished Size – 68” across, 16” deep

This pattern will include both charts and written directions. You will be adding the beads as you come to the stitch, no pre stringing. You do this by using a tiny steel crochet hook.

To add beads: when you get to the stitch with the bead, place the bead on your steel crochet hook, hook the stitch that the bead goes on and slide the bead onto the stitch. Place the stitch with bead back on the left hand needle and Purl the stitch if it is a p1b, or knit the stitch if it is a k1b
