The pattern is available for sale individually or as part of the New Caesars collection (a savings over the individual price), but please decide before you purchase. I’m afraid refunds cannot be issued for the cost of the individual pattern against the cost of the collection.

Inspired by the Countess Ablaze Twelve Caesars Collection of yarns - click here to find out what all the excitement’s about

The pattern is listed as DK, but the cowl can be worked in DK, fingering, sports or worsted weight.

Approximate yardage/m:

130m/150yds of each yarn for a 5-band version (DK).
Approx. 175m/200yds of each yarn for 7-bands (fingering/sport or larger version with DK weight).

Much, much easier than it looks - you basically just knit stripes and slip stitches, but you end up with something which looks much more complicated.

The knitting is easy and relaxing except for one row that will require a little concentration.

Because of the nature of the stitch, you will need to read a chart, but there are tips in the pattern to get you started.

It’s also a great way to put a little structure around a highly variegated yarn.
