New Wave is a modified version of my design, Making Waves Cardigan Like Making Waves, New Wave is a top-down, raglan-sleeved, seamless cardigan with ruched trim. New Wave, however, has a twisted rib at the cuffs & hem, and is intended to be worn open. Additionally, the cast on, stitch counts, and shaping differ between the 2 designs.

Due to similarities of the designs, a discount of $4 is automatically offered if you purchase both patterns. You do not need to purchase both at the same time to get the discount. For example, if you have already purchased Making Waves, you may purchase New Wave for only $3. The discount will be applied in your cart at time of payment. No code is necessary!

Because New Wave is not intended to be worn closed, bust sizes are based on the measurement across the back:
Finished Back Measurements: 15(16.7, 17.7, 19.3, 20.7, 22, 23.3, 24.7)”.
Materials:
2(2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins Wollmeise Sockenwolle Twin (510 yd/150 g), shown in colorway Amethyst (light) or
Approx 860(995, 1150, 1275, 1400, 1550, 1675, 1900) yards fingering weight yarn.

Two needle sizes are required for the pattern: One size to obtain the stated gauge in stst, and a second size that is one size smaller for finishing the ruched trim. “Take time to save time,” and do check your gauge by making a swatch & blocking the swatch.
