I’m a little acorn brown, lying on the hard cold ground… This hat was inspired by a folk song I learned at 5th grade camp that popped into my head at the beginning of the fall season.

The actual pattern is written for the newborn size but I have included some tips for increasing the size up to an adult. If you do want to make a larger size and can’t figure it out, feel free to email me and I will do my best to help! My contact info is at the bottom of the pattern.

Materials: worsted weight yarn, I hook, tapestry needle, measuring tape, scissors.

For newborn size, only a fraction of a skein is needed (I make several newborn hats from 1 skein of RHSS or ILTY)
