There are times in our lives when nature inspires us in our own creative ways. While walking in the back of my daughter’s family farm, I began to take pictures of the surroundings. In one of the pictures I captured an image of one of their cows. This simple picture began my journey of knitting these fun newborn cow hats. To add an adorable detail, I have included a template for making an identification tag for writing the baby’s name and birth date.

Although you may want to choose to make this hat in black (Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash - color No.815 and white Cascade Yarns Cherub Baby - No. 01), I have also made this hat in a soft brown (Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash - No. 862 and white Cascade Yarns Cherub Baby - No. 01).
