This crochet pattern gives you the instructions, so that you can make a newborn baby deer hat and diaper cover. Versatile outfit that can be changed to meet several photo shoots. Use a darker brown for a moose, use with Christmas props for a little reindeer, or all year round as a deer. Perfect addition to any photo session. Please keep in mind that due to small parts all children should be monitored while wearing.

Materials Needed:
Worsted Weight Yarn #4­­ Yarn pictured is:
Red Heart Super Saver in Warm Brown (approx 150 yards)
Red Heart Soft in Off-­White (approx 40 yards)
Bulky Weight Yarn #5­­ Yarn pictured is:
Bernat Pipsqueak in Vanilla (approx 10 yards)
Size H/5.0 mm Crochet Hook­­ or hook needed for gauge
Size E/3.5 mm Crochet Hook

Gauge:​Please check your gauge, to ensure correct sizing.
With ‘H’​hook and worsted weight yarn: 4 Rows of dc and 7 dc stitches across is 2” by 2”
With ‘E’​hook and worsted weight yarn: You just want stitches tight enough, so that you don’t
see stuffing coming through the stitches.

Sizes:
Newborn Hat:​Circumference is approx 13-­14”
Diaper Cover:​Length laying open is approx 12”, button to adjust for waist circumference

Skill level- Easy - Keep in mind that fuzzy pipsqueak yarn can be difficult to work with.
