This winter hat features a multi-colored basket weave stitch in the middle of stockinette stitches. For my hat, I use bulky weight yarn, but the directions are written in such a way that makes it easy to adapt to any gauge or size. I also provide directions on how to create a knit pom pom that really finishes off the piece.
