If you are new to lace, but want to try an easy lace shawl, this might be the perfect pattern for you.

The shawl features two variations of the knit “ladder” stitch, both of which are very simple. One is a knit purl combination, and one is a bit more open, but still a knit purl combination. The second shows off the focal stitch nicely, while still being a suitable pattern for a beginner.

The lace stitches are both written out line by line, and charted. The final size of the wrap is 22 inches by 74 inches. There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.

Skill Level: Beginner + (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting.)

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport in the colorway, Putty.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Stacy Hood, who can be contacted at: cursedgreensweater@yahoo.com.

The pattern is for sale right here on Ravelry and in my Etsy shop in the Beginning - Intermediate Shawl Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=...)
