This pattern has been designed as a part of tbe 2016 Canadian Crazy Train competition which starts on January 1st, 2016. As a result, this design is currently only available to participants in the competition.

This sock is my first toe-up design and combines ribbing and lace in an effort to recreate the feel of a rail station’s architecture. Tracks of ribbing run from the toe up to the ankle, and then slowly turn into a tribute to an arched roof typical to the one at St. Pancras station as you move up the leg. Gusset increases are worked in the sole of the foot, and the heel flap is patterned, which I like to think of as my “signature” in many of my designs. I use a slightly different ribbing pattern with each size, making them each a bit individual in appearance, and giving the foot lots of stretch. Row gauge is important because of the heel turn technique, so I would suggest that you check and adjust while working the toe.
