This pattern contains only the add-on accessories: curling rock & old-fashioned broom. The accessories are designed to fit the original Mouse Toy pattern.

However, the accessories can be used as ornaments or little gifts for people who might appreciate the sport; therefore, the pattern does not necessarily require the Mouse Toy.

The materials are minimum: (22.5 m; 24 ¾ yd) of yarn, a 2.50 mm hook, tapestry needle, a wooden/bamboo skewer and a modicum of cotton stuffing; the stitches are basic (chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet, along with their increases/decreases. Among techniques: adjustable ring, work on both sides and in selected loops, and invisible finish.

As mentioned before, the Rock & Broom make great Christmas ornaments, whether you like curling or not! The idea for the pattern was my response to a snowed-in day when we couldn’t access the roads to school.

Enjoy!
