The unique feature of this hat is that it opens up and lies almost flat. Baby is placed on top, and the hat is wrapped around any IVs, monitor attachments or wires, then buttoned. This allows for easy access to change wires, as well as keeping them in place and out of the way – all the while keeping baby nice and warm.
