This design offers instructions for worsted weight yarn.
The skills you need to know to make this crocheted hat are: how to carry yarn, color change, follow a graph, and waistcoat stitch.

This pattern was tested with Bernat Premium, I Love This Yarn, Lion Brand Heartland, and Impeccable .
Use any worsted weight with a stretch factor to it.
* NOTE Red heart yarn typically leads to a larger bulkier finished product, as it seems to be thicker than other brands. If choosing this yarn, a smaller hook size may be required to achieve proper fit.
3D fabric paint in red needed.
Written for teen-adult head size.
