A beautifully textured hat with delicate details to balance the structural cables.
This is a cabled hat worked from the brim to the crown. Begin by casting on with either the Italian Tubular or German Twisted cast on. Work 1x1 ribbing for the brim on smaller needles, there are options for a traditional brim and a folded brim. Switch to larger needles and work the cabled pattern for the hat length. Once the crown is reached, decreases will be worked into the pattern to close the top of the hat.

The hat sizes will be wrote in the pattern as such: 1 (2, 3, 4)

NEEDLES
US 4 / 3.5 mm DPN or circular needles with a 16” / 40 cm cable for the brim.

US 7 / 4.5 mm DPN or circular needles with a 16” / 40 cm cable for the body.

Cable needle equivalent to US 7 / 4.5 mm needles

GAUGE
Blocked 4” / 10 cm = 23 sts x 30 rounds with US 7 / 4.5 mm needles in pattern.
