The Nina Top is named after my stepdaughter (pronounced “Nyna”). It is a relaxed-fit, boatneck, drop-shoulder sweater that is knit from the top down.

Short rows are worked to create subtle neck shaping, but after that, it is a very beginner-friendly pattern. The front and back are worked separately to the armhole depth. The shoulders are seamed together and then the body is joined and worked in the round. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round to the wrist.

The Nina Top is designed to have 9-13 in 22.5-32.5 cm of positive ease. Jesika has a 36 in 90 cm chest and is wearing a size 3 (model pictured).

The pattern is in English.
